MTV Europe Music Awards

The MTV Europe Music Awards, commonly abbreviated as EMAs, were awards presented by Paramount International Networks to recognise achievements in music and popular culture. Originally conceived as an alternative to the MTV Video Music Awards, which are held annually in the United States, the ceremony took place each year in a different country, predominantly in the United Kingdom and Germany. The annual event featured live performances by prominent artists and presentations of awards across a range of popular music categories.
The awards reflected the international music scene, recognising artists from different geographical regions and achievements across a diverse range of musical genres and disciplines.
