BT TV (formerly BT Vision) and EE TV are subscription-based Internet Protocol television (IPTV) services provided by BT and EE, brands of BT Consumer, a division of British telecommunications company BT Group.
The two services originated as entirely separate entities, each operating on their own proprietary hardware. BT Vision was launched in 2006 and was the second IPTV service in the UK after HomeChoice. It underwent several iterations before rebranding to BT TV in 2013 as an umbrella brand alongside its YouView service that was introduced in 2012, initially operating in parallel before consolidating with the latter in 2014.
